Score!

Yep, the feast went well - lots of good feedback. I'm not sure I'll run an event again though - I might just hang out in the kitchen next time.

Actually I think the highlight of the weekend was driving home after picking up our freecycle score of the century last night.

We now now own our very own singer industrial sewing machine. It's more powerful than the one we've been using, and much heavier too. Now we just have to work out where to put it. I think my beautiful singer treadle machine will have to go. I might lend it out on semipermanent loan - anyone?

Tonight we pick up the freecycle cot and baby clothes and then I hope to find a weekend when we can sort through our stuff and give some stuff away. We'd better! We don't have space for a baby cot at the moment.

I've been having a lowgrade version of Z's illness all weekend, and I felt ok this morning when I got up and went to the school to finalise the event - get rid of hire tables, hand back keys etc. (btw, the school was impressed with how we left the place, hooray!) . I got home, ate toast and nice warm aktavite and now I seem to have crashed. So much for going to work today.

Given I will now have room, I can probably give your singer a home. It is so much nicer than my treadle. (Not that I need to fill up my new place with MORE stuff)
